Revision One: Knotted Heart:
Flashed across the screen,
my stomach is on the ground,
why are you calling me?
Your name is like a splinter,
infecting my heart, I need to decline
but that is not what my heart wants.
You are what confuses me, leaving my
heart all tangled up, you pull me in every direction,
until my heart is knotted up.
Please stop tugging and just let me go.

Revision One: The Imposing Fear
Drowning in her tears
chaotic like the ocean
her biggest fears
hugging her so tightly
like a soldier when they reunite
with their person.
Fear consumes any thoughts
of peace, a war within herself
that she wants to flee
infinite paths to choose from,
yet she only has her eye on one.
Scars cover her thighs like how
the stars cover the dark sky
what is it like to live a life
without anxiety?
Revision Two: Knotted Heart
Flashed across the screen,
my stomach is on the ground,
why are you calling me?
Your name is like a splinter, infecting my heart, I need to decline
but that is not what my heart wants.
You are what confuses me, leaving me all tangled up, you pull me in every direction,
until my heart is knotted up.
Please stop tugging and just let me go.
Revision One: Love Without Reason
Oh how we are surrounded by hate,
yet there’s people who love with no falter,
followers of Jesus Christ, forever loved,
he sacrificed his life so we may live ours.
I admire the Christians that get thrown
into the flames of society’s fire, their heart
pumping pure blood of adoration for those who
find such a belief blague, it is fascinating
how a Christian can stand out like a black sheep,
but never let go of their faith.
I adore the Christians who let it be known:
No human can be good and never do wrong,
Always forgive, we all fail at points in our lives,
Persevere through the hardships, you will not fall,
You are wonderful and fearfully made.
A Christian in the shadows,
oh how the world could learn,
a human who loves without reasoning
is better than a human who floods the
world with hate; learn to love,
we all make mistakes, a lesson taught
by Christian faith.

A day in August
August eleventh, how it comes by each year
A date that is stitched into my heart.
I will remember meeting you,
the day we formed a friendship,
the day my life changed forever.
Your presence saved my life,
you restored my will to live
I just wish I could erase the bad memories,
because the good ones run through my veins,
with every breath I take, a love I want to forget,
but it is not worth forgetting.
The Imposing Fear
Drowning in her tears,
chaotic like the ocean,
her biggest fears hugging her so tightly
like a soldier when they reunite with their other half.
Fear consumes any thoughts of peace,
a war within herself that she wants to flee,
infinite paths to choose from, yet she only
has her eye on one.
Her scars cover her thighs the way the
stars cover the dark sky, she wonders
what life would be like without anxiety.
